Adventures in the Arts: Hiking, Movement & Meditation with Mid Maine Yoga
October 19, 2018 - October 21, 2018$375
Spending time in nature on retreat is a wonderful way to immerse yourself in practice, just one weekend away can help you begin cultivating a deeper sense of awareness, increase motivation to practice at home, and reconnect with yourself. Integrating movement and mindfulness Nancy and Caitlin will guide participants on a weekend journey in the 100 Mile Wilderness section of the Appalachian Trail. This is an open and non-judgmental environment to freely explore creative self-expression; self-care rituals, and a peaceful time away to delve deeper into you. This weekend retreat in the transformative Autumn air, will fold in the unique offerings of each individual, and is bound to inspire a spiritual connection to our outer world, while we dive deep and tend to our inner landscapes with love and support. Mid Maine Yoga is committed to sharing the wisdom of yoga in a safe and nurturing atmosphere in order to bring greater health, happiness, and well being to the community. We strive to impart this knowledge in the spirit of healing, love, transformation, and compassion.
Caitlin is a passionate student and teacher of yoga, mindfulness, and nature connection. While living and travelling in Asia she had the opportunity to immerse herself in a one-month intensive practice at the Ashtanga Research Center in Bali. Upon returning to the United States she recognized the need for additional training and enrolled in a ten-month Yoga Alliance teacher training program at the Yoga Loft in Wilmington with Jen Ryan. Her yoga teaching is heavily influenced by Ashtanga philosophy and she believes that a proper foundation and understanding of correct alignment is the key to developing a fulfilling and safe practice. Caitlin is looking forward to completing the three year 300 hour advanced yoga teacher training program with ShivaShakti School of Yoga & Healing Arts in March of 2018.
