Featured Program: Snowshoeing or Skiing in Acadia National Park

Experience the grandeur of Acadia National Park with North Star Adventures. Acadia is a special place, especially in the winter.  The crowds are gone and you are left with the peaceful stillness of the winter environment. Winter is my favorite season in the park and I am delighted to be able to explore and share Acadia’s majesty.

Our day begins at 8:00 AM from the Parkman Mountain trail head.  From that point we have several options.  The Parkman Bald loop has stunning views and is approximately 3 miles in length.  There are a variety of options for longer hikes in this region of the park, making it one of my favorite winter destinations. Miles of carriage roads allow for a cross country skiing experience (conditions permitting) like no other. If time allows we will finish our day by walking the one mile Ocean Path. Ocean Path follows the coast from Sand Beach to Otter Cliffs. See all of Acadia’s most popular sites, Sand Beach, Thunder Hole and Otter Cliffs blanketed in snow and ice. In the summer it is a highway of people.  In the winter you can typically count  the number of people you will encounter on one hand.

Join North Star Adventures on Saturday March 3 as we explore this amazing winter environment. It is sure to leave you spell bound. For registration information click here:   Acadia Registration
