Pedaling and Paddling in Belfast Harbor

North Star Adventures and CG Bikes are partnering to bring you exciting new paddling and pedaling adventures in the Mid-Coast region.

Throughout the summer months we will offer opportunities to explore Belfast Harbor and the surrounding area by sea kayak and bicycle. Sea kayak tours will include a three-hour morning paddle exploring Belfast harbor. The opportunities are endless from paddling up the Passagassawakeag (Passy) to exploring Moose Point and Little River. Tours include all paddling gear and locally made snacks.

Bike tours will include a coastal route pedaling through the scenic hills and views of Northport, Lincolnville, and Camden area, culminating with a luscious lobster roll at the Lobster Pound Restaurant on Lincolnville Beach. We will also turn inland and explore the rolling farmlands of Amish country in the Unity/Thorndike area. A fresh farm-to-table lunch from Many Hands Farm and freshly made Amish donuts will keep the cyclists energized for this bucolic ride.

Belfast Bike Loop – Leaving from CG Bikes in Belfast we will explore incredibly scenic back roads of the Mid-Coast region.  The ride will explore the small inland towns of Belmont and Hope before turning towards the coast once again and visiting the beautiful town of Camden, self-named “Jewel of the Maine Coast,” and then heading towards Lincolnville.  This coastal area is where the mountains meet the sea.  Lunch will be fresh Maine lobster rolls served at the Lincolnville Lobster Pound.  On the return to Belfast, we are hoping to visit the quaint and tidy village of Bayside. While this ride is mostly coastal, there are numerous hills and climbs to test your legs in this 35 – 40 mile tour.

$ 95.00 per person. Dates. July 18
