Full Day Sea Kayaking: Fort Point

Launching from Sandy Point Beach we will paddle to Fort Point State Park. Here we can enjoy a relaxing break on the sandy beach, swim, and take a walk up to the lighthouse (it is a private residence so we cannot go inside).  Past the lighthouse the unique twisted and rusty coastline of begins. This section of cliff is unique on the Maine Coast. Nowhere else have I experienced such twisted and colorful cliffs. Rusty orange, and yellow mixed with bright green sea lettuce is a feast for the eyes. The rocks twist and turn in some places looking almost serpent like.
